Probably explains why their lights are so crap :)

Edit:
As in they didn't have money left for lights.

This is stunning. The look you have captured on her face, along with the lighting, is perfect. Exquisitely timed.

Of the ten photos now up I think three are shot with my Zorki. The rest are with my D40.

I'm a bit happy if you couldn't tell which are which since I think I need to get a lot better at post–processing. Especially black and white conversion. I can't begin to approach the beauty of black and white film, or what it can do most of the time, with digital black and white.

Your comment sparked the notion that what I want to do with a camera is to commentate. Which might be good. I'm not that comfortable with calling myself a photographer but commentator sounds nice.

I think I'm starting to see why you like rangefinders and film so much.
It gives the most everyday things a dreamy fairytale like quality, transporting them to another time and place somehow. Which I find ironic considering how most street-photographers and photo-journalists aim to capture things "as they are".

I like photography because it allows me to create and make my own version of reality. To show people things the way I see them rather than how they are...

Through your pictures I get a sense of seeing things your way... rather than exactly what's there.

I now appreciate why you like the gear and methods you like...

PS. Are these all film or are they also post-processed digital snaps?
